Hey gang! I bought a carbon fiber tequipment shift **** but it didn't come with a boot. I'm trying to find a black one that will work with it.

Do you have the std. black leather shifter now? If so, you cut the leather at the base of the handle just where it comes loose.

you then push the leather down so that it is inside out.

Insert your new handle down into this created hole

Line end of handle up with cut edge of leather

use tie wrap to secure

pull handle up, it will pull the leather up with it

install in car.

 

All that sounds wonderful. However, mine is the tan color boot. Trying to redo some parts in black. Good to know an easy way fix though!
