2010 GT3 seat swap or 2010 GT3 for sale....

I have the 2010 GT3 with the sport seats and would like to trade with someone that has the bucket CF back seats. If you have a GT3 on order with the sports seats and would not mind changing to the bucket seats I will swap with you and pay the difference in cost. To get them changed out at the dealer is more than twice the cost of ordering them from factory.... Wish I would have known that before but looking for a solution.

Otherwise I am willing to sell my GT3 to someone that does not want to wait and order myself a new one... I have the Sharkwerks exhaust and GMG roll bars painted color matched white.... Any takers????

I think buying new seats is the easiest and cheapest option, no? Were you expecting msrp for your car? I don't think you are going to get that, then turn around and order it again with the seats you want. Maybe I'm wrong?

Yep, I have put some money into it with the cage and exhaust and if it sells at MSRP to someone who does not want to wait for theirs to be built great. If not it’s really not that big of a deal to me as I really only want the seats. The car for me is perfect otherwise. I am just throwing it out there to see if someone is ready for one now or is willing to put the order in for the bucket seats on theirs that wants sport seats so we can trade. That for me is more ideal then selling. I am sure there are those who don't mind waiting and there are others who would rather not wait and get one now that is totally setup with great upgrades installed turnkey.

If I don't ask or try the only thing that is going to happen is nothing....

I am in love with the car and if I happen to make a deal with someone I am going to go right back and get another one with a few more bells and whistles geared toward what I want out of the car; now that I realize changes are best made on the initial order. If not I still have a sweet clean GT3 to enjoy on the weekends.

The seats in it now are amazing. The only reason I want the bucket seats is so I can install a harness. I would like to learn to drive the GT3 as a weekend track car however I will not push the car or my limits without prepping the car first. Unfortunately I discovered after the fact that I need bucket seats for the harness....

It also may work out that someone who got the bucket seats finds that they are too difficult to get in and out of or passengers may be uncomfortable in such a tight seat and may want to get into a more adjustable sport seat instead. Woman in skirts may not enjoy trying to hop over the stiff sides to get in and out of...

That being said anyone who feels the bucket seats are too hard to manage every time you climb into or out of I am open to trade out in that situation as well....

You can buy them for $6k ish

Or you can get:

Sparco's for $800 per piece
Recaro's for $1,100-$2,000 per piece

But the GT2 seats are awesome, and fold back..... but you don't need them to fold back with the GMG roll bar installed.

canvas your local dealers to see if any of their 997's (non-gt) have gt2 bucket seats on them. then tell them you'll do them a favor by swapping your seats.
