18" Forgestar F14s with FAT tires - 12" and 9.5" - SO Cal

Category: Accessories
Price: $1500
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part fits: Porsche 911 996 Turbo
Location (State): CA
Item Condition: Used
Shipping Information: Item can be shipped

I've had good interest in a short time and am not really looking forward to shipping these. I'm going to to limit the sale to local buyers for the next few weeks and see how things pan out. Thanks for understanding

I am selling my super light Forgestar F14 Wheels and Tires. I believe these wheels are less than 22 lbs in a 12" and ~18 lbs in the 9.5". Less than 1500 miles of street / freeway use. ZERO track miles.
http://www.forgestar.com/v2/wheelsf14.php

These are a max fitment wheel and tire combo! 12" rears and 9.5" fronts.ET 46mm front and rear. They are shod with hankook RS2 rears tires (hankook does not make an RS3 in a 315/30-18) and Hankook RS3 front tires in a 265-30-18. These tires are by far and bar none the stickiest tires I have ever used. Absolutely as near new and flawless as possible.

Actual wheels and tires on the car (these wheels and tires stack up a full 6-7" taller than stock wheels and tires). You obviously get a LOT more contact patch.

Comes custom installed with a set of Orange TPMS which has tire pressure and Temp readings with low/high warnings "beeps".

Includes chrome wheel bolts as well. Prefer local Pick-Up but will ship. Additionally, I would also consider separating wheels and tires.

I'm interested, but still on the stock suspension. Would I have enough clearance to install these without coilovers?

That's a good question probably best answered by Forgestar.

I am running PSS9s.

I'll try to contact them today to see what they say. Where are you located in Socal? If they fit, I would probably drive down from Carmel to pick up.

You didn't have to run spacers?? I have 12" rear with +26 offset and rubbed right through my liner? Why are you selling so quick - there nice rims - wish I went with 9.5" fronts.

I'm in Woodland Hills.

2muchtime, these are 46 offset front and rear so almost exacty 1mm off from a factory GT2 wheel

Should fit with with no mods.

I had them custom made. I'm selling because 1: I have 3 sets of wheels and tires 2. Thinking about moving on (possibly to a 997T / GT2)

Forgestar wasn't much help about the fitment. I emailed the technical questions address and included a link to your post. Forgestar said they had to be either 8.5 or 9, as they had never done a 9.5 rim for the front of a Porsche. It made me laugh, because I went back and read all your post on the wheels and I'm sure they're 9.5 They look great and I'd love to have them if I knew they would fit with stock suspension.

I can look into who I dealt with at forgestar. I know they are 9.5" because I custom ordered them and took a bit of a risk I was very careful test fitting them including crossing up the suspension by driving one wheel up a curb and then checking for rubbing. it was a lot of fun tinkering.

I'm not dead set on selling them and am real busy lately at work so all good either way

maybe if there is a local buyer or if you're in the area at some point we can do a test fit. I may also see if I can take a front wheel/tire to speed gallery to test fit on a tt with factory suspension. btw I am running 15mm spacer (not included) in the rear in the pics you see ( the rear fenders are rolled in my car but the fronts are not).

interestingly crazyf1driver ? or something like tha, his real name is Enrique, is running 10" fronts with no rub!

That would be great if the front could be test fitted on a TT with stock suspension if you get a chance. I saw that Enrique is using a 10, but he also has coilovers. Any inner liner rubbing in the back without the spacer?

The 46mm offset rear wheel is basically a GT2 offset. Easy fit with no rubbing on the liner from what I have seen.

There is some rub at full lock with these and any wheel tire combo that has an aggressive offset in the front due to the larger turning radius of the wheel. Fortunately these steering angles are only at parking lot speeds and have no real effect on wearing out the liners in normal or aggressive driving (you're simply not turning that much as speed). I've been running spacers on my stock and other wheels for some 30K miles and the liners are 100% intact.

The combination of a bit of negative camber, rear sway bars and fat front tire are palpable in the reduction of under-steer. I have my Pss9s set on a pretty comfortable ride setting but the cars grips crazy at all speeds. A bit more negative camber in front does make the car a bit "darty" especially over road irregularities but the sensation only lasts a day or two and it starts to feel normal.

I've had good interest in a short time and aren't really looking forward to shipping these. I'm going to to limit the sale to local buyers for the next few weeks.

12"r w/ +26 offset wouldn't rub your inner liner, do you mean the outer fender liner?
