I was at Mike's shop for other business and snapped these pics of the car/exhaust.

I saw a few comments earlier about the quality of the welds. Coming from someone who is AWS-certified QC7-93...you're ****ing idiots. You have zero idea of what you are talking about. These welds would pass any test...x ray, dye, acid etch, free bend, you name it. You get caught up in the trend of "roll of dimes" and obsess about it. Very few of those beauty-contest welds would stand up to industrial testing...stuff where you are welding a piece of pipe that will eventually transmit react-able gasses where a pinhole or a contamination could mean someone's life is lost. If you want robotic TIG-welded look, be prepared to pay $6000+ for an exhaust. Go show your stupid off-the-shelf exhaust with the lowered Hondas with shaved engine bays and lowriders with pinstriped frames at car shows, because those are the only people putting mirrors under their car. Everybody is a tough guy on the internet and feels free to criticize the work of others when they have no knowledge of the subject whatsoever; I bet most of the people with negative comments in this thread wouldn't even know how to turn on a welder, let alone use it.
Bottom line...if it was originally two pieces of metal, and now it's one piece of metal that will never come apart, that's a GOOD ****ING WELD.
Here is a real weld, not some art contest ****

Sorry, I just get annoyed when people who have absolutely no clue of what they are talking about try to criticize people who do things for a living.

All joking aside, those welds look good to me, but I not a certified welder. It does aggravate me when people who have a little grasp on something pass it off as if they are a ****ing scientist. Happens on all forums. They are called keyboard tuners. As for weld functionality and strength, I do know that oil pipes are much more critical to weld integrity compared to our exhaust systems.
