FS: FVD Spec Bilstein PSS9 Coilovers, fresh rebuild by Bilstein U.S.

Category: Steering & Suspension
Price: $1600
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part fits: Porsche 911 996 Turbo
Location (State): AZ
Item Condition: Used
Shipping Information: Item can be shipped

I have a set of FVD Spec Bilstein PSS9's. These have more aggressive damping compared to the standard PSS9s.

I found the set on ebay and was hoping to slap them on. They were in pretty rough condition when I picked them up, so I sent all four into bilstein for an overhaul.

All four have been rebuilt, to FVD Spec. They are unused post-rebuild.

I also sent in the main (larger) springs for powder coating. The yellow is not identical to the bilstein yellow, but they look good. The helper springs were not too bad, so I left them as-is.

I will post pictures this evening or the next.

I paid $700 shipped on ebay and spent $1100 for rebuilding, parts replacement and shipping from Bilstein, and $80 for the powder coating. I have a receipt for all of the work performed.

Asking $1600 + shipping for these.

I will consider a trade for 997.1 GT2 Intercoolers + cash or a set of used Clubsport IC's.

Here you can see the original housing versus the housing I had replaced:

Here is the color difference between the original color (helper spring) and the powder coated color:

Thanks,
Darren

Why are you not using them?

Are there any missing parts or anything at all wrong with them?

If shipped can one unpack them and just bolt them up as if it was ordered new?

Sorry for all the questions, but as you know(you posted on my other suspension thread) I am looking to do my suspension next.

Thanks

Bobby Ali

To answer simply, yes, they will function as new with the exception of some surface rust which resides on the housings. This does not impact performance, I even asked bilstein and they were fine with it.

No missing parts

The pss9 use your stock top hats, you have to swap those over.

I'm looking at moving to a tial alpha setup, I could use the funds.

Bilstein replaced one of te housings since it was damaged, machined a new piston, rebuilt all four and supplied me with misc assembly parts, new nuts, plastic seats for the springs and spanner wrenches.

Good luck with your sale. If I already didn't have Pss9s on my 996TT I would be all over these. Great price for a good coil-over kit.
