FS: 997 SSK(SOLD) and B&M SSK

Category: Accessories
Price: $0
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part fits: Porsche 911 997 Turbo, Porsche 911 997 Non-Turbo, Porsche 911 996 Turbo, Porsche 911 996 Non-Turbo
Location (State): PA
Item Condition: Brand New
Shipping Information: Item can be shipped

The first item I have listed is the B&M Short Shift Kit. This was already when I bought the car, so I am not certain how long it was used for. The shifter works absolutely fine and really does shorten and make the shifts more precise. The only reason I took it out was to play around with other shifters (boredom) . This is compatible with the 996s (not sure about the 997s).

*This shifter uses 3 set screws to hold the right linkage. I am not sure if all the B&M shifters are like this, but I just wanted to make that clear. $250 OBO

SOLDThe second item I have listed is the 997 SSK. This system is absolutely great, but I took it out because I will unfortunately be selling the car and am not sure the buyers around my area appreciate a stiffer, precise throw. I had it in my car for less than 1000 miles but enjoyed every shift with it. Install was a breeze too. This is compatible with 997s obviously and retrofits great into the 996 (which is what I did myself). $350 OBO

In terms of recommendations, I can say that the B&M is notchier but the 997 SSK has more of a smooth resistance. Both systems are awesome and blow the stock shifters (especially on the 996) completely out of the water. The install is a very fun DIY and should be no problem. If you are local (Philadelphia) I would be more than happy to help with install. Take care and feel free to ask any questions!

The 997 SSK has been SOLD, B&M system still available

Best regards,
-E

Interesting, I bought the B&M, but have not installed it yet. I have read once you install it you can not go back to a Porsche shifter, was that the case?

Sorry do not mean to interupt your thread, everything I have read from folks that had both says the B&M is preferred.

Good Luck!!!!!!
