So if you have a car with power memory seats, what sort of issues do you run into if you swap these in? Do error codes light up, etc? Do they still plug right in or do you need a different wiring harness?

These are the seats I WANT in my car.

I replaced memory seats with full power adaptive sport seats recently. The passenger side plugged in with no issues. I had to re-route the power wire from the memory loom to the seat loom to get the drivers side to work. I gave up memory on the seats but they work great!

Talked local Porsche Dealership.

They said it's been done many times before. Just as Post above stated. no issue.
You may need to bring by your local Dealer and have them Turn OFF the Gateway to the Memory function. But, no big deal.. only takes like 30 seconds.
OR if you have a Durametric tool, you can do it yourself.

It's unlikely, it would be needed.

At least in my situation I did not have the memory function turned off. No codes and memory still works on my mirrors etc. As far as it knows it is still moving my seats with memory.

Yea, that's what the mechanic told us as well. Normally it's plug-n-play.
Only rarely, do you have to rurn off the Gateway.... (30 seconds to perform this task)

I just completed swapping my heated, electric, memory comfort seats for a set of GT3 heated adaptive sport seats. Thanks to the tip from Amok it went pretty smoothly and, after resetting the airbag light with the Durametric software, everything works perfectly.

It's a great upgrade, and the swap is a very do-able DIY.
