Hey guys, decided to try my luck painting my bumperettes myself, thread here. I bought an extra set of bumperettes and painted them first, they turned out so well I did the second set as I had enough paint left over so thought i'd see if another 6speeder is interested in them.

Paint is Arctic Silver (code: L92U) and is a perfect match to my 03 996 Turbo. Check the underhood sticker of your car for paint code number to be sure.

They were sanded, 4 coats primer, 3 coats arctic silver, 5 coats clear, wetsanded 2000, compound polished then waxed. They are super smooth to the touch. I would say the paint finish is an 8/10 where 10/10 would be professional factory finish however they look perfect installed, see the pics of my car. You can wash and wax these just like any other part of the car as they have lots of clear coat on them protecting the paint.

Buy these and re-sell your stock bumperettes for $100, total cost for these painted is then $125. Most pro places charge $275 plus your core so $375 total as you can't sell yours.

I knicked the bottom corner of one installed them, touched up with paint. Couldn't see either way as its the very bottom angled down when installed on the car but wanted to disclose anyway.

 

These are super nice and will compliment your car nicely!
