Custom built track wheel/tire trailer

Category: Accessories
Price: $750
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part fits: Other
Location (State): CT
Item Condition: Used

Selling my custom built track tire trailer complete with everything you need. Tires are like new with only a few hundred miles on them. Pulls great behind my Porsche, don't even notice it is there.

Started life as a Harbor Freight 1090lb 40x48" trailer with 12" wheels which was turned over to a friends shop to get built right.
  • Hubs & bearings were cleaned of the cheap grease they use and repacked with high end marine grease. Spare bearing seals and a seal puller are included, repack won't be needed for another 2200 miles and even then that is probably premature given the high end grease.
  • Standard running & tail lights were replaced with LED lights and dual plate hangers (one for car and one for trailer)
  • 50x54" wood 2x4 deck was built on top of the frame. Pressure treated wood was used and painted black and covered with roofers felt via staples to prevent any reaction between the copper in the pressure treated wood and the aluminum plate.
  • Anodized black aluminum diamond plate covers the top and sides complete with corner trim.
  • All hardware used is either galvanized or stainless steel.
  • Stainless steel and galvanized D rings were added to sides along with a hidden spare tire and a 3rd wheel/stand.
  • 2.75 cubic foot steel lock box was added to carry the necessary tools. Sides and bottom of the steel box are lined with 1/4" and 1/2" neoprene foam to keep items from banging around.

The following pictured items are all included in my asking price:
  • Compact Aluminum Racing Jack low clearance(3 3/8"-14-3/4") 3000 lbs.
  • Craftsman 1/2" drive torque wrench(20-150ft/lbs)
  • 15' PVC coated cable with 3 locks
  • Masterlock brass trailer hitch lock
  • Home Depot orange heavy duty ratchet tie downs
  • UHAUL 4-way flat car wiring box with silver heat shield
  • 4 VP fuel 5 gallon(the really hold ~6 gal each) jugs including spare cap with filler hose/filter.
  • and custom tow hook 1 7/8" hitch ball if buyer wants it (not pictured)
My 18" wheels/tires are NOT included! Add your own wheels and some hand tools/sockets along with a battery powered socket gun and you are ready to go to autocross or the track!

$750 local pick up only.
(My price doesn't even cover the components never mind the design and labor. I don't think you can find a better solution ready to go for the price. If I could have bought something "off the lot" I would have!)

Add me, too. Ingenious!
I'm not local, or I'd swoop on this, although I don't really need the extra stuff.

Sold to a fellow CT Porsche owner!

Will post a pic for you guys shortly. It's pretty basic custom weld of a 1 7/8" ball to a factory tow hook with some metal plates reinforcing it. Ghetto but it works great if you have a center tow hook location.
