Did Dallas send you a sample? I've had 2 wheels done by him, 1 leather with thicker pad to match my 997.2, 1 alcantara for my gt3rs, and the matches were spot on. The Alcantara wheel he did for me is a clone of the alcantara RS wheel with thicker pad (thicker than the thick alcantara). With the leather wheel he did for me I had him do perforated leather at 9-3 and smooth leather along top and bottom with thicker thumb rests. Looked really great. Both times I had him do thicker pad. I have an OEM XPA wheel that came on my rs but I'm not selling it, the price on these is very expensive for some reason. It is only 'slightly' thicker than the stock wheel.

 

I did get a sample but I did not find the leather as smooth and also found it more porous compared to the XPA leather. It is fairly smooth but not as good as the Porsche leather IMO.

i got my new wheel, its amazing, better than oem, the quality of the leather is excellent, way better than i was expecting, the pic does not do it justice (the pic also makes it look like the airbag cover does not fit, its because they arent bolted together on the the car, once on the car everything aligns perfectly.

 

I received my DCT wheel in late December - it's gorgeous - so much nicer than the OEM CF one. I had the thicker sides done with the carbon top & bottom and installed it with an MA Carbon Y-trim piece, reusing my multi-function buttons from me previous one. I went with the perforated leather option so I didn't have to worry about how closely their leather matched the OEM leather, and I think it gives a sportier look. The flat bottom is very nice for extra leg clearance when getting in and out of the car and also is a nice spot to wrest your hand in a non-angled position when just riding down the highway.
