Edit: Closed for business. Too much time spent answering emails for people that claim they are in a hurry and then stop responding to emails. The DIY page has all the info on how to to it yourself and what parts to buy. If you aren't comfortable doing it yourself, please find someone local that can do it for you (I suggest looking up your local Maker group). Sorry, just too much annoyance for something that was supposed to help people out and be a bit of fun.

If you are doing a Cayenne (958) Turbo bumper swap without also replacing the headlights, you'll lose the DRL functionality. It is possible, however, to modify the factory wiring harness to make the new signal bars act like DRLs.

This adapter will make the Turbo/GTS signal bars act as DRLs by utilizing the parking LEDs. These are not as bright as the DRLs on the non-Turbo/GTS signal bars, but they are still plenty visible.

I documented the needed parts and directions to do it yourself based on snp_cayenne's wiring diagram. Since then I've been approached by a few people to build them a set, so I'm setting up this ad to hopefully stay on the good side of the 6spd rules while helping people out.

I'm asking $150 for parts, labor, and shipping (continental US, Alaska, and Hawaii only via USPS).

My requirements to make these for you are:
  1. You don't have a negative reputation score.
  2. You have enough posts to demonstrate you are a contributing part of the community.
  3. You have enough posts to PM me (don't post requests here, I won't respond to them).
  4. You give me at least a 30 day lead time. I'm willing to talk about quicker turn arounds, but the parts cost will go up and I'll have to charge you accordingly (I have a discounted supplier, but they can be really slow sometimes).
  5. You can ask about international shipping, but I'll probably decline. If I do agree, you'll be responsible for shipping and import/export charges.
  6. Payment is due before I order parts.

The set on my car (pictured in the linked thread) were my first ones and didn't come out as nice as I would have liked. The second set (attached pics) came out much nicer as I picked up better materials.

What you'll get is two adapter harnesses that will plug in between the factory wiring harness and the signal bars. Each solder joint has heat shrink tubing applied. The whole harness including the ends of the plugs are covered in heat shrink tubing (first pic). Then I cover the wiring with anti-abrasion tubing (you can see it in the pics in my original thread) which I then apply another layer of heat shrink tubing over that.

I do not have a reliable method of testing the harnesses prior to shipment (getting to the plugs while the bumper is attached is difficult at best) so it is possible that one or both could be defective upon receipt. I'll do my best to work out a solution for you, but will require them being returned to be reworked.

Hello Gnat ! I am new to this forum but I would really like to purschase the harnesses as I already did the turbo bumper conversion but I am having a hard time dealing with the DRL not functioning.
