Can this be used on a stock engine?

I am not familiar with this part. What is the benefit over the stock part?

 

Allows for higher fuel pressure (5.0 bar)- perfect for higher boost applications. An ECU upgrade will be necessary to run this fuel pressure regulator. We recommend this upgrade for vehicles running K24 or larger turbochargers
