If I may ask, what is the 'pin' process you mentioned instead of welding these fittings? Sorry for off-topic, I figure the item is sold so it wouldn't be a bother. Thanks.

Coolant pipes on all Mezger based 911 motors have issues with the factory glue separating and allowing an insert to come out, expelling all motor coolant at a high rate of speed directly on the tires at a high rate of speed. Lol. No good. Pinning or welding coolant lines keeps this from happening.

I was well aware of the issue, just didnt know such a thing as pinning them! Thank you! This is of great help, planning to install a new erp clutch soon and have anticipated the coolant pipe fix!

 

The jury is out on which method is better....
