This is the starter from my 2004 996 Turbo Tiptronic. Car had 59K miles on it when I removed it. Last year I dropped the engine/trans and replaced all the hoses, pinned the pipes, new coils, plugs, etc, etc. Decided to replace the starter while I was in there. No problems with it, just decided to proactively replace it. From the date code on the starter, it might have been replaced back in 2009. I don't know. I bought the car in 2013.
