What are solutions folks here have found to add satellite radio and ipods to their CGT/Flying Spur? My car is a 2006, so it has the older style navi/head unit.
Well, I ended up getting a DICE Ipod integration module and an XM Commander unit playing through the AUX input on the DICE module.
Not the best looking solution, nor most convenient, but it was cost effective, plays my Ipod (I have to reconfigure my damn music folders to make sense of it) and the XM works. The major drawback is you lose the function of the CD changer, but its not a problem for me as I always upload my cd's to itunes. If you have to have the CD player, this is not a practical solution.
The XM antenna was a ***** to figure out. The installer tried mounting it on the dash and it did not get a signal due to the factory UV coating on the windshield. When I arrived he had mounted it on the hood! I was not pleased and told him to figure out another way. They ended up mounting it in the cowl area where it barely clears the windshield wipers. Signal worked, problem solved. I'll report more when I get the car back as it was not 100% finished when I went to pick it up and I'm leaving town this weekend and shipping the car to AZ as soon as I get back to have Evoms do the ECU tuning

I got a chance to use the DICE module and it is great. It's not the most intuitive function, but it is quite effective and easy to learn.
As stated before the main drawback is the loss of the CD changer function.

Where have other folks mounted their Satellite Radio antennas? Mine is in the cowl and I get a signal, maybe 60% of the time (intermittently) which makes it pretty much useless.
