85k isn't too much for a cream puff. prices has't changed since 1 year ago from what I can tell. it may have gone up by a grand actually.

You could continue shopping for a white one and maybe find one eventually? But realistically how much cheaper can it possibly be, just buy it.

thanks for the info i been doing alot of research it seems white does bring a higher price all between the 80k-85k mark with 85k being the highest , i paid on my black 05 $72500 with 16k miles a year ago from a scale 1-10 i would say its a solid 8 and this white one is a 10 for sure , what do you think a current realistic market value of my 2005 black with 22k miles is right now ??? with 4 year service completed , i posted a photo below .

You definitely got a steal at $72k back then. I suggest you change out those wheels before the sale. Stock wheels will make it easier to sell. Given 8/10 condition, I would say you'll get $75-78k with 20k mileage. So try asking $79.9k?

what am i doing wrong? I can never find these deals. I look and the nice ones are close to 100k. To the point, i am willing to pony up another 60k-70k and get a new 2012 v8TT Conti GT when it comes out. If i could find a good one for in the 70s or 80s, i would so pull the trigger. Also, what white is it? There are so many variation of whites on B cars.

How to find a good deal? Patience and keep searching online every day. Sometimes you can find a car that JUST comes up for sale at a dealer and he might like to turn a fast buck over waiting for a better offer a month or three later. Of course another factor may be to build a friendship with various dealers and let them know what you are seeking.

Of course being stuck on a certain color/combo could drastically lower your chances of finding a deal, and in fact cause you to 'lose' from $5000 to $15,000 or so (which is the problem you are having with a white car). To me, a 2005 should be around $75k max. Have seen 2006 for $85k or so and they have a better Bluetooth and i think a few other improved items.

If i may correct my above post. You guys are right, prices are going up and seem to be about $5,000 to $10,000 more than what i said above. Darn worthless dollar valuation, should have expected prices to increase due to severe dollar weakness/inflation over the past year.

I have had mine quite a while, and for the year 05, mileage 11k, I cannot find any in the same ballpark, so they must be holding steady.

I think your black GT should sell very quickly. As far as the super clean white one, 85ish is what I would expect to pay. I have seen others for less, but they were a 6-7 on a 10 scale.

asking $80k, can probably get them down to $75k.
