What size wheels for 04 CGT?

Just picked up an 04 GTC! Very excited, what size wheels can I put on comfortably without having to worry about potholes/dips in the road.

My last BMW I had 2006 330xi, I put WAY to big of wheels on, and the smallest pothole would dent the wheels.

Don't want that problem again

STock size is 275/40-19 and that is the size i'd suggest you go with. Here is an easy link to Tire Rack so you can see proper choices that will handle the sheer weight of the Bentley.

Mine came with 20' chrome wheels and they look great but I bet the ride would be smother with the 19's that Steven showed you. I would hate to push it up to 21's for ride and wheel concerns. If an when I change wheels I would stay with the 20's but look for a lighter wheel to reduce unsprung weight.

Kid in a candy store enjoy mate.

Got the car with the 20" Mulliner wheels and it drives fine.
But I would not go over 20".

Dr. D, agreed and you can sometimes find great deals on rims at eBay. i thought he meant tires of course in my first post. About a year ago i got the 19" 5-star chromed stock rims for $800/4 (included black 'B' centers). Many people upgrade to 21+ and sell their stock rims cheap on eBay. Just keep checking and a great deal pops up from time to time.

Thank you everyone, I will be sticking with 19-20" for sure then!

Just went to Bentley to check out their wheels, but $18,000 for a set is not what I'm looking to spend on wheels at the moment. Any recommendations for good after market wheels?

Thanks for your help everyone!

i use these exact same rims for my summer tires.... $3k including new tires (tires alone may be around $1300/set on their own):
http://www.ebay.com/itm/BENTLEY-CONTINENTAL-GT-FLYING-SPUR-MULLINER-19-OEM-TIRES-RIMS-WHEELS-PACKAGE-/180738377390?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories &vxp=mtr&hash=item2a14d8c6ae

These are a set of 19" 'triple- chromed' rims for $3k

As i said, keep checking eBay for deals as they do pop up. i got a great deal and had the dealer install winter Blizzaks LM60 and TPS sensors for the winter 'extra' set of tires/rim here.
