Just picked up an 06 FS, review

New to the board but been reading here for a while, you guys have some great info. Just got a 06 FS black with saddle 16K miles. A few bugs getting ironed out but have already put in the BMW 2012 NAV NY disk, car came with a professionlly installed Parrot BT, works flawless though car speakers.
My one grip with the car so far is the ride, I have an 05' Lexus SUV that is smoother and quiter. I have the factory Yokahamas on it but I feel every little bump and expansion joint in the road. So is this a luxery car or a sports car? I also have a Ferrari 355 so I know how unforgiving suspesion can be but I didnt expect this in a Bentley.

I wonder how different the FS is from the GT? I bought my wife a '12 Audi A7 and she says the ride is smoother that my 07 GTC. Her Audi does have less road feel and is a softer ride but not much more quiet. I do think my high performance tires are part of the issue but the suspension of the car is tight and more to the sport side. I too think the Bentley is not a "soft" as I thought it would be. BTW the Lexus is a great riding car.

The Lexus I'm comparing it to is actually an SUV! Those things ride great. Having the backup cam installed in the FS on Friday BTW.

In my opinion the Flying spur rides smoother than the GT, however a big difference can be seen between different tires.. I guess in the end its all preference

I was thinking the same thing and with the tire pressures being near 50LBS make it a little rough as well. I need to put some more miles on first but my next step to smooth the ride abit would be some softer rubber.

Which SUV? My wife had two of the RX models and they were also fine cars. My best riding vehicle for comfort and all was the big GMC Denali XL. That thing was a great people hauler/boat.

I would think the FS has a different suspension than the GT and possibly tires also. What tires comes stock on the FS? Does it really need 50lbs? If you need that for high speed performance you might ask yourself if your really need to be set up to do 180mph? If the tires have a range of allowed pressures try dropping a few lbs.

The Lexus is a gx 470 has 40k on it now and rides better than most Mercedes.
Have tried dropping the pressure on the tires but the warning didn't like that kept giving me a low pressure error.

Wow those look like some great prices. I have the Pirellis. These are ultra-high performance tires and there is a ride price to pay for these. The question I would pose is, for the FS(four door sedan) would I really want that type of tire???? I would consider a more comfortable tire for the sake of the ride and sacrifice the speed performance, accepting that I will not go at high speed. Just a thought to consider if ride comfort was the paramount.
