Climate Control Problem on 06 GTC

Hi everybody !

Hope everyone is well. Just wanted to point out a problem I have and want to know if there's a solution for it: As soon as I put the temp higher than 19 degrees celsius (Im in Canada), the air that blows out is DEAD hot like I put the last heat temp possible on the passenger side ONLY.

What is causing that ? What needs to be done to solve that problem ?

Please let me know if anyone of you guys experienced that before.

Thanks in advance

First check the blue/red 'toggle' black oblong button above the large central display unit and keep pressing the Blue side of said button. It also could be a control flap malfunction, which is a dealer diag and R/R.

EDITED: Also check the same type of button, yet it is more central and higher up (not seen within the photo below)

The blue button should work an internal flap, so my guess if after pressing the blue a few times that flap should be set to all 'cold'. Then the problem should go away. If not, you may have a stuck flap and it could be a simple fix as have done this type of fix in other vehicles. It is a common problem per se with various manufacturers that happens from time to time due to debris or other factors.

sorry for bringing a dead thread back, but holding down the blue button does what?
resets the position?
also my problem is, if i press "auto" and hit "blue button" until it says "COLD",
the air does not blow towards my face / foot. seems like the actuator is stuck at some point. BUT, if i hit "manually" blow to face/foot, it blows cold air for a sec or two, and go back to where it does not blow anywhere, but I could hear the blower motor working.

it blows cold air to defrost windshield, but no face/foot.

any ideas???

Tried but I don't think it solved the problem. Only the dealer can fix the flap ?

I Have just got myself a used Bentley GT and i have a similar problem when i first got my car. The air was hot and soft even on 19 celsius. I have since replaced the aircon filter(also known as cabin filter) and the problem solved.

Are there any filters to change inside the car? I only know of the two pollen filters on the hood.

Sometimes I can smell polluted air outside but even on recirculate mode? Either something is faulty or its very polluted air quality!

No inside filters I know of. Maybe you just have really bad air or the filters are past their lifecycle?

I'm not sure where is the air cabin filter is located but mine improved significantly after replacing it by the mechanic. (I didn't ask the location)

Most of the modern cars have it and usually it is located inside the car near the dashboard area.

I have changed air cabin filters before in my previous cars. It was very dirty with small tree leaves and dog's fur etc stucked in it when they took out the old filters. You can check with the mechanic, they will be able to change it for you. Besides, the air cabin filter is the cheapest thing you will wanna start up with in your quest to rectify your aircond problem.

That sounds completely logical. I have questioned my system for not cooling the car fast enough so I am going to look into these filters. Thanks.

I just got off the phone with my mechanic and he said he already changed ALL the filters on our last visit. Than means any lack of function I have is not "cheap" filter related. I am getting service again soon so i have told him to do a full system check. I am finally getting my new nav. cd.
