Continental GT 2005 Suspension Failure
Hello Micro...you are lucky to have located a good independent mechanic...At another place here one fellow was charged $4000 by dealer to do one side...what year and model/mileage on your car and how is it going service wise...JimB
....Fairly simple...for you...a guy who can talk his wife into having a lift put up in your garage so you can drop the engine...was the air shock job before you dropped the engine...
Tell me you screwed something up on the r/r job...anything...I probably would have botched 20 things...on a good day JimB

Suspension failure - front suspension stuck high and won’t lower
High guys, I’m desperately needing advice please! I reverently had new tyres put on the back of my 05 Continental GT and everything seemed normal at first. Then I went to take it for a drive and raised the suspension as I had extra passengers in the car. Now the front is stuck up super high and the back is down at the correct level. It’s now saying suspension failure WORKSHOP and won’t raise or lower the suspension at all. My car now looks like a boat with the back sitting nice and low and the front up so high. Can anybody give me any advice on what could be going wrong and what I need to do to fix it please? I’m completely lost for ideas. Thanks

Do you have the VCDS from Ross Tech? I know you can use it to let air out of and refill your shocks. You also use it to calibrate your ride height and a setting might have gone out. I am not sure this will work if yours is stuck, but I thought someone had said that when using VCDS if the suspension was not responding when trying to set it, to push down a side to see if it will adjust after that.
