Anyone else seriously buying?. Would be nice to hit the 5 buy min! Also can anyone recommend a shop here in So.Ca to handle the flash/ install?

 

If this group buy is applicable to Malaysia as well, I'll seriously consider it too.

 

Thomas, called around and no one has VAG near me. Even the 'local' VW dealer said they can't help find out There are other issues yet best not to say here. I think someone upstairs is telling me to leave her stock. Last time I toyed/tweaked with a car it got bad.... and waaay expensive. Think 'll sit this one out as stock she really is quite a performer.

 

Sorry to hear that ETM. I think the appeal for me is that she remains stock until you "press the button" and change tunes and can simply go back to stock map at a button press. Also like the fact that you reflash and clear out the "learned" ecu as my car was driven like a daily caddy by the previous owner and I'm more of a spirited "lead the pack" driver. Guess we have an advantage here in S. Cali in that we have multiple install locations avail. Will offer some feedback down the road if it all comes together.

 

S. Cali is a great place and perhaps if I lived where things are easier to get done with the B... We always want 'more'

Am guessing the next car will be a 2010 GT Speed or ??? in a few years, though the back seats are used quite a bit right now. The more I look, the more it is easy to burn through 10k between tune and more free-flowing exhaust (which is 10% of the current car's 'value') though please realize I do not want a louder engine. The other day was top-down driving and was so glad she is quiet so one can hear 'the world'. Also realize once I start down that 'upgrade' road it leads to other things, and more....

As for being leader of the pack

 

I would recommend AU Tuning in Huntington Beach, as they will not charge you any labor for the flash install.

 

Where are you located? We have a dealer in Selangor who I could offer the discount through.

 

For the Southern California guys, if we can have three purchases through the same GIAC dealer I will automatically price it at the 5+ discount level.

Guys, looks I'm out. Pm'd Thomas: No dealer in my country, nor in the ones adjacent. And there is no ready-to-go file for my 2010/2011euro-ecu. So it will be not a simple plugNplay.
