GIAC offers a complete ECU upgrade for Bentley which offers multiple programs and easy switching.

They're also located in Southern California, so it would be an easy install for you if you're in that area.

I have a unit developed by Fabspeed that I like.

Arriving at a rating such as "the best" is difficult IMO. The criteria used to evaluate may be highly variable and the whole assessment is very subjective. I would call the vendors and discuss the products and decide who sells something that meets your goals.

I had to balance my desire for power with engine safety and daily reliability.

Wise advice as usual.

Hmm, to date no one has reviewed two or three different reprogrammings. Thus odds are we'll never really know. Also, which one is the 'safest' to use as it would add very little additional stress to the engine/cooling/tranny/etc.

Safest would not be fastest.

Thanks for the complement Gr.

Why does it cost so much to flash the ecu"s

A new Bosch ecu at the dealer are 500-600 each, so aprox 1200 for 2 brand new oem ecu

These guys want like 2k for a flash, Whatsup with that, I understand the dyno time , hours of labour to develop etc etc , but still sounds pricey over 2k for a software flash

In terms of power, we are able to make around 80 wheel horsepower and 92 wheel torque on 91 octane fuel, with no additional modifications. We have been working with Volkswagen/Audi platforms for over 20 years, and you will find that our reliability will speak for itself.

As far as I know, we are the only tuner for Bentley that has been offered as an OEM power kit upgrade (at a much higher price than we sell for). Additionally, we are the only company who offers on-the-fly program switching for the Bentley platform. You can only do this by modifying the ECU code, as simply map flashing the vehicle (as is common practice) limits what you can do.

If you have any specific questions, please feel free to shoot me a PM.

Once you blow up you will know where the limit WAS. Limit = (total $s of mods) - (the last one).
