Bluetooth Streaming for 2012 GT Speed
Bluetooth Streaming for 2012 GT Speed
Hello! New to the forum. Just got a 2012 Bentley Continental GT Speed last Friday and I am really happy with the car so far except for one thing—an apparent lack of Bluetooth streaming.
I am coming from a 2012 Merceds E350 which had Bluetooth streaming and I could use Spotify on my phones to jam out to whatever I wanted and I could control the music from the COMAND system as well as steering wheel.
Is there any way to setup Bluetooth streaming so I can use Spotify in the Bentley? I don't like having to reach in to the glovebox to change spotify on my iPod (w/ tether from a cell). It's kind of annoying and there has to be a better way.
Any input is appreciated and thank you in advance!

I searched and I see a lot of people talking about iPod control and stuff. I'm more worried about streaming with my HTC One and/or Blackberry Q10. I just want to control Spotify from the car and stream the music to the car. I'm using the iPod right now as a last resort. :-\
Sorry if I'm missing the obvious post. Just seeing people talking about either older cars or just worried about iPods.

I think I found a workaround. I ran an audio clip on WhatsApp messenger and bluetooth audio turned on and now I can play Spotify via bluetooth audio streaming. Was by mistake, but it worked out without the media bridge or having to reach for the iPod in the console.

Any update? Does the tune2air work on the GT's, i'd imagine so. Does it still hook up to the media interface, or do you have to select a cd and lose info? I read that somewhere
Does it interfere with bentleys bluetooth for phone calls, etc? Thanks guys

Did some research, it looks like due to the control system used in early-ish Bentleys it is only a little better than the factory system with limited choices of only a few playlists and track choice. You do get Bluetooth as a benefit though. That system makes the iApple device go into accessory mode, which is NOT what you want imho if you really have a deep music collection and like to change tracks/genres, etc freely and easily. You can see Amazon and read the review of the guy with the (basically) same VW system we use for these limitations. In other cars it seems that unit does some impressive things tho. Bentley has been notoriously behind the curve in technology when it comes to their BT/music system in past vehicles. Only in very recent models has Bentley achieved a more modern interface to some degree... yet still lacks high quality FLAC, WAV and DSD music file support.

I have a 2010 supersports
It connect with my iphone no prob, I have 0 complaints about anything media related, yes it's behind the times a bit but it all works well for me, no issues, which is a graat thing! I was worried coming from my m5 I'd have to sacrifice a ton, but it's just as good. Only issue is that I/we have to plug phone in the glovebox and leave it in there, hence why I thought this would have been great.
So I guess the only option is the dice setup replacing the cd changer? Thanks again
Since I have not used the 2010 system.... In your 2010 Supersports does the display on the iApple device have the white screen that read Accessory, or can you change tracks on the iApple device too? If it says Accessory, then you'll need the MediaBridge to then use the iApple device's controls to change tracks, etc.

I apologize beforehand, since you're trying to help me

But what's iApple? You mean the iPhone? I think I get what you're saying, what does it say on the iPhone after plugging it in? I'll have to check tomorrow and report back
Thanks again
