Which system does the gt use

I've been swatting up on my 08 GT Speed, however I'm a bit confused as to which ecu system the car uses

KWP1281 or KWP2000 ?????

Does any one know....... the VAS tech manual talks about both and also Crafter and UDS. I know the car doesn't use the last 2.
Any help very much appreciated.

Thanks.
Frank

Frank,
Its not a very technical forum, like many of the other car ones are.
I don't think you'll find an answer to this on here.

are you talking about the engine management system because the Bosch Motronic ME 7.1.1 is used in the Continental series.

Hi Bentleytech, thanks for the reply.
Yes, it would be nice to read how the ecu adapts to driving/fuel conditions. Especially if 95 fuel has been used for a while.......can the ecu adaption be reset to the factory standard etc etc using the VAS computer etc .
I had a good idea how my 911 worked and using the PST2 computer I could reset adaption values if I felt the ignition had been retarded ( ie the car felt a bit slower).
I'm also interested to know if the tiptronic box can have its adaption values read out and reset. eg the 911 would require a tip adaption reset if it had been driven in a slow manor for too long......it was a common 911 tip problem.
I suppose what I'm after is learning the specifics about the car and how it runs

If possible that would be great. I think the Bentley is a much more complicated vehicle than the 996 turbo?

Brilliant that's what I'm talking about any more info like that is appreciated. I have had a glance through and the info looks just what I'm after. Not that I will be able to use the info but at least I can study up on the car and get a better feel for what I'm driving.
Thanks again,
Frank
