Really want this look but refuse to compromise the luxurious ride...
How would a standard 2012 ride lowered to look like this? Can you lower using lowering links and the computer like an AMG car? Or do you have to change out springs? Or coilovers? Please reply if you've had personal experience. Thank you in advance!

I lowered mine 3/4" using my VAS5054A system. There is no difference in the ride. I can't speak about the effect of trailing links as I didn't see the need (given we have computer-controlled air suspension).

Hi.
I lowered mine using adjustable links. As PMS says, it doesn't affect the ride comfort.
I also only recently realised that it's easier to raise the ride height with the infotainment unit when you want to get a trolley jack underneath the car.

A key consideration for jacking the car is to ensure you put it into jacking mode. This will disarm the air suspension. If you don't, you run the risk of fatally damaging the air bladders on the suspension. In short, it is not enough to just raise the ride height in order to get a jack underneath.
