thinking of traiding my 2007 Bentley for a 2010 Rolls Royce ghost.

Sorry to hear about your bad experiences, nguyennhatquang, but glad you're finding the Bentleys reliable. Also, totally agree with BWings on hearing your firsthand perspective and truly appreciate the candor.
Agree about the BMW motors... Really wanted an 6- coupe/convertible, but was totally put off by the N63 engine and the associated problems from folks with first hand experience who also spoke up. Hope the 6.6 isn't a derivative of the 4.4, but doing the math on the displacement, it doesn't look promising, lol!
Must be true what I've heard... The cost to buy a Rolls vs the cost to own a Rolls, are two things entirely.

I've owned a few BMWs, but way way back there. Two of them - an M6 in 1988 and a 5 series in 1990. They were both brand new and I didn't own them very long. My overall opinion on BMW....meh....The MBs I've owned, I've felt were better built cars.

Hopefully by the time I’m ready to get one all the bugs are fixed/taken care of.

@sam08861 yeah.. I never buying BMW car again, they make a terrible car. N63 is junk, that motor only last 50k miles and u need a new motors... is that $100k pieces of metal we paid and It only last 50k miles..
BMW car is over complicated, them Vanos, them Valvetronic... bla bla.. and when **** thing happen it doesn't move at all.
I think the N74R on the Ghost is better but it will not last longer than that... as of my motor..
I still keep a E66 2005 BMW 750li.. with 4.8 N62 motor...
60k miles : engine out for Valve stem seal job
70k miles : Transmission seal is leaking, need to drop transmission to replace some seals
100K miles : oil leak in thermostat oil cooler, the common alternator bracket gasket, Dynamic Drive issue then new Valve block cost $1500 in parts only. New Motor mount which broken,
I want to sell it but no one buy it here LOL...

Being retired and given my current financial situation, it will take another lifetime or winning the lotto to achieve your current garage status. Only thing I can afford is an incoming 2020 Civic Type R.
Am old school and yearn for that affordable, slick, short shifting manual tranny (a dying art in NA). I'll surely be one of the few gray haired colored guys driving it around in my community - LOL!!!
That said, everytime I drive the wife's Bentley - it's comfort, quietness and non-intrusive performance reminds me that luxury is the best for these aging aching bones!!!

The Ghost is gone and replaced with a Flying Spur. People ask how the Flying Spur compares with the Ghost.
I tell them it shouldn’t compare, the Rolls is a $300,000 car and the Flying Spur is a $200,000 car. But the leather work and paint and fit and finish is better on the Flying Spur. The Rolls drives better. Could be that the Ghost’s chassis is basically a BMW 7 series and BMW’s have always been a drivers car. The Rolls drives like it is smaller than it looks. If you want the attention get the Rolls. If you want a better car get the Bentley.
