Bentley continental Ipod i need help
I have an 07 flying spur with ipod integration. I dont know if it was a factory install or aftermarket. But there is no button for ipod. What do i need to do? I plugged an ipod in and nothing happend. Is there something i need to select? Any info would he helpful.
If it's a Dice unit, you have to press the CD button below the infotainment screen.
That's how mine works anyway.
Give it a try.
P.S. Has the CD multichanger been removed from the glovebox?
Les.

I do not think it is a dice unit, it is just a usb cable and an old ipod 13pin cable. They are running to the back of the cd changer.
So i tried plugging in a Samson ipod bluetooth. And it gets power and connects to my phone but nothing happens. There is no button for me to select. I tried the cd button with no cd in, however the display just tells me "no cd please select a different input"

I have the factory 'solution' here and it should work UNLESS for some reason you have the wrong cable to the Apple device. As I recall there are two different color cables Bentley used for the Apple interface as the system was changed. Can't tell you which is which, though, so perhaps visit the dealership and let them sort it out. I dumped all that, including removing the DICE unit, and went with the $35 PIE unit. You just remove the 6-disc changer and this is plug and play via the CD input.
BTW: The stock Bentley 'solution' has very low audio output so you'll need to turn the volume way up on your Apple device and even then... IMHO dump the Bentley for the PIE and be done with it all. The Dice is nice and have both models of them here for the Bentley. Simply got tired of dealing with them as the PIE is easy analog input via standard RCA jacks to mate with any normal audio cord with the end type you need. I use Kimber Kable pure silver cable.

Does your CD button say just CD or CD / MM.
The 2009 model has the latter and it alternates between the ipod cable in the glovebox and the CD changer. I attached a bluetooth adapter to the 30pin connector in the glovebox and am able to stream music from my iphone.

Apologies for reviving an old thread, but I wanted to know if you ever got to the bottom of this?
I just picked up a 2004 Bentley Continental GT. In the glove box there is a 30-pin iPod connector and a USB connector. I tried connecting an old iPod and can see that it is charging so there's definitely a live connection. However, I feel like I've tried everything to figure out how to get the sound playing in the car but can't seem to get it working.
I've tried pressing the CD button but it says there's no CDs available. I've also tried checking all the radio frequencies from 87.5 to 106 and can't find a station playing my iPod music.
I don't know which system I have, I suppose this could be an aftermarket kit?
If anyone has any experience on this, I would really appreciate your insight.

Update: I think it is a factory installed system as I've seen Bentley Technical bulletin 07-02-00-08 and it looks exactly the same as my system, even the same pouch holder.
I've tested putting an MP3 on a USB and that works and plays the song when I press CD! Comes up as CD 6 but it works perfectly.
So I'm only not sure how to get the iPod working. Maybe this iPod model is not supported? It's the iPod classic 160gb. Not sure why it wouldn't be though if it's receiving charge and it's the same 30-pin connector...
