Guide - How to remove the front roof console
I just took off my front roof console to replace the halogen reading light with LED.
Instruction:
1. Use a flat screw driver to carefully pry open the lens from the interior light housing
2. Stick your finger inside the interior light housing and put the microphone (left and right) cover out.
3. Remove two screws in the microphone cut out (left and right)
4. Pull down the front of the roof console gentle. The rear side is held up by serveral metal clips. You can use your finger and unclip them.
5. Remove all electrical wires

Thanks. It felt like I had just bought a new car after not having it for awhile.
I took out the roof console because the light bulb housing unit has to come out from the top. Did you pull the bulb down from the unit instead? I tried to do that but couldn't get it out that way.
What issue did you have with LED?
I tried both ebay LED with CANBUS error-free and Philips w/o CANBUS error-canceler. eBay version has a slight flicker and Philips lights up once and goes dark.
I'm gonna try another LED and will put back the halogen if I can't get rid of the flickering.

I just took lens cover off to pull bulbs out.
Yes bulb would light only one time.
I have the same bulbs in my mirrors and it works fine.
I believe the 2014 has LED so I know it possible.
Old bulbs looks so dated.
