I am busted! I have a 2014 GTC Speed and tried this. I could not even get past removing the wipers.

TBH, I am scared of this car. Even used it cost more than my first house. However, I am pretty handy and have rebuilt several cars in the past.

This is on another planet! I thought a Porch was bad. This is crazy. 10 steps to remove one item. 🤯

My car has been fantastic! No issues and I was just trying to do some preventative stuff. I now know that general maintenance is all I need to worry about. I will leave the rest to the pros.

Didn't want to try or tried and didn't win?

Maseratis are the same. Just need a wiper puller if they are stuck on.

@Johnny Hotspur GT

Anyone know if the flying spurs suffer from the same drains getting clogged under the cowl issue?
I just tried to remove my wipers with wiper pullers to get the cowl off and I cracked my windshield (1 foot crack) due to applying too much pressure on it, and was still unsuccessful, as they're on solid.
If it's not a spur issue but rather a GT issue, maybe I should skip.

@rsebastien1993 ,
I am so sorry to hear this, but I have to ask, what tool are you using to remove the wiper arms that had anything to do with putting pressure on the windshield ?

Yes, the Spur has the same issue, just as the D3 A8L.

Did you soak the wiper stalks with PB Blaster, or Deep Creep prior to attempting to remove them ?

Used pointy curved side of hammer first time to gain leverage, which popped the glass.
Used various amazon wiper tools afterwards, still no luck.
Tried soaking with silicone spray, left it in there for few days, no difference.
In addition, the wiper tools damaged the wiper arm bolt and wiper arm screw to where I can't even tighten the arm back down, not that it's loose.
Think I'll have a pro do it, since spurs are affected.

Sorry, but "silicone spray"... that is not a penetrating solvent, it will not creep into the needed area to break free, use either PB Blaster, or Deep Creep or the like.

With hindsight if you’re wipers are on that tight I’d just cut them off it’ll cost less than replacing a screen, wish I had, in my case not only did I crack the screen but I also damaged the thread on the mechanism too plus wasted many hours in the process.

Yea, think i'll just do a water test once annually by pouring water down the windshield and into scuttle area without removing anything, if it flows it flows, lot simpler.
