Bentley GT 2004 stereo lost base

Stereo in my 2004 crackles when powered up but only plays the tweeters no base the door speaker in the left just crackles or pops.it was working fine just dropped out when driving home .the door card has been removed due to lock issues but I don't think that is the problem as I said it was working.could it be amp? Would I lose just the bass? Thanks

How did you get on with the window ...
Thanks Rico . I returned yesterday and that's when the speakers packed up on me.i will take a look at window tomorrow if i get the chance.ive inherited all the problems from the previous owner so am going through this with a fine tooth comb but every time I fix something something else bloody packs up lol did you post up some pics of your window?
