Bgt vac lines
Bgt vac lines
Hi guys I've seen some me posts about vac lines going and it's an engine out job can anyone show me where they go as if like to check mine.also I'm sure I saw a guy post on here that his mechanic did it without removing engine any thoughts ?
Here's the real deal. The lines are so brittle not changing all of them seems like a lot of extra future work. With the engine out a lot of other aspects can be serviced. BWings gave good suggestions on a recent post if engine out (PM).
By the way the best brake lines to use to replace the plastic vacuum lines is called copper nickel. Copper nickel brake line bend alot easier than the standard steel lines.
Look online using: Bentley Continental smoke test. There are some good YouTube videos showing how it's done. These videos also give a good idea of the layout.
For the record the Silver Spurs and late 2007 forward don't have vacuum lines above the transmission. If I am off by one year please, someone let us know.
