Made a school boy error and put all the windows down and did a mega session on the way home the other night. Seems a 120 mph breeze has fooked my head lining.
I can't find anyone in the UK that wants to touch it (didn't bother with the stealers). Does anyone have any ideas on how best to tighten it back up without stripping half the car? Was planning to cut the edges and spray some glue in.......

Hi alwaysurfing ... The thing with these headliners they have all the same problem once they sag thats it, from what I found out its the glue they used wasn't unto the job, air gets into the inner which is 2 skins, you have no choice unless as you say anyone has a better idea but to remove the hole thing and strip it re glue it, its not that hard to remove it it comes out in one big peace, my advice is once out don't strip the whole thing but only the parts where its come away unless you can strip the whole thing and re glue the whole lot making sure it fits in the same places ... Ive done this on a friends Bentley 06, luckily we had a big garage so weather wasn't a problem but stripping it wasn't a easy job, you got to make sure you don't pull on the leather as it will stretch and once it does you got to heat it up to get it back into its shape, I used a rubber foam on the inner skip then relayed the top its not one day job, if you don't fancy doing it yourself then find a auto reupholstery firm ...
Had mine out and back in in one day, not that hard to do, just two size trox screws (16 ish),take it out the passanger side (door open windows down).
comes out in one pice. cost me £100 to have reglued (i did have to split it down my self and remove the old foam).

Hi Joc ... Nice job, those bumps in the middle of the headliner can be removed with a heat gun or hair drier not to much heat and a peace of cloth, heat it and with a cloth just rub slightly they will come out, its the same with the seats & door card where the seat belt sometimes jams between the door and the seat leaving indentations in the seat & the door handle, I took all mine out with a heat gun the leather goes back flat, don't put to much heat on or rub to hard it may take the dye off ...
As I am still needing to do my headliner, I was quoted $500 the other day to redo it. I’m thinking ok that’s a fair price and said I’ll shop around a little more. I go to look at the threads on here about headliners and notice, everyone that I look at is All leather. Mines is a combination of leather and suede which I though all of them were. Is $500 still a decent price?

Hi TJ ... Thats an unusual combination not seen one with suede show a pic or 2 ...
Here in the UK I found an excellent guy who takes the lining out, strips it completely, replaces the foam and reinstalls the headlining in a single day at a very reasonable price. I also asked him to run a rear view camera from the head unit to boot, hardwire the dash cam, fit a DAB aerial to my Benhur while the lining was out. This was all carried out without any issues or drama.... didn't charge me more than an extra hours labour to do all that additional work....
I am now left with a 2005 BGT with a fantastic as new looking lining, reverse camera, touch screen satnav, CarPlay, DAB, dashcam, all hardwired in and for a fraction of the price some are advertising..... Im a very happy bunny.
guys whats is a legitimate number in hours of labor for a shop to remove the headliner, clean off the old foam from roof/leather, reglue and refit.
I was quoted 10 hours for the job when i brought my car in, now they are going for over 20 hours.. something is not right. looking for what the fair number should be
