Hello anyone...
I have a problem why my car.. if I'm going over the speed bump at 50km.h or less than that.. I have a knocking sound seem like in the steering wheel on the way to the rack and pinion..
I did replace all of my control arm, Lower, upper, with the OEM TRW one and the problem still the same..
Both left and right side.. the right side heard like Thump Thump..
is that rack and pinion is the common problem making weirg sound in this car...
Knock knock sound...
Thank you alot
Hello NGUY,
Did you replace the sway bar links, also note that the sway bar mounts have a bushing also, although those are not replaceable, I believe, although others have cut the old one off and used a replaceable piece.

@johny..
I din't replace it yet because mine is looking fine....
here is the picture of mine
and for my swaybar bushing I did replace it with the the one made by polyurethane from Strong flex...
or are there anyway I can check sway bar link? other than looking at it?
Well, my links looked just like yours on my A8L W12, yet they were the cause of my clunking, now some 30K miles later the clunk is back, so I will be checking the links and the SB bushings this time.
Did those hard bushings fit snuggly onto the sway bar without any play ?
Do you have someone locked in the trunk....
I am with others here, that does not sound like any suspension noise, do like Rico stated and check the front and rear belly pans, also check if wheel liners are loose, that is awfully loud, are your windows up in the video ?
@Rico.Adams and Johny
THe sound only come from the front left actually.. I will check the HVAC line and see what happen...
I drive in Reverse over speed bump no noise.. thank you
all the wheel liner is tight
thank you
@John My windows all the way up..
I did put someone in the back no noise at all..
only from Front Left drive size.. I will check the belly but I don't think anything in there...
did u ever meet the problem with steering rack ?
