I know this thread is old but, being that it was resurrected today by another, I wanted to add my comment as to the theory of jack mode made here.

Jack mode has nothing to do with, or the control of any strut being fully extended, jack mode does not lock the strut in place, therefore jack mode does not keep the struts from hanging down to the furthest extension, jack mode simply turns the system off, therefore, not allowing the air to be released from each strut, because as when the wheels/suspension are hanging, the system would think that the vehicle is too high, therefore it would release all air, and in turn, allow the vehicle to fall to the ground when lowered off the lift or jacks.

The struts and their bags always hang to their furthest extension everytime lifted, jack mode or not.

I use my Race Ramps to change my oil. Easy to use and they are over twice as long as the ones pictured above so the climb is much more gradual and controllable IMHO.
