Ross Tech question

I do not like to go into Ross Tech fiddling with stuff trying to “SEE” if something might work or not but.....
I need to have a nozzle jet and cover painted and replaced and was wondering if there is an option to put them in some type of maintenance mode where they extend out. I really don’t want the shop to have to take the bumper off to do this but if need be then I guess they would have too.

Nope !
They are mechanically held closed by a spring .Extend with water pump pressure only .
You can grab them and pull/ extend them .Tie them out with a pair of locking mole grips and you can remove the cover .
If they inadvertently pop back , it’s a right fiddle with pointed noise pliers to gently prise them out .Or get someone to operate , get wet grabbing the pipe as it comes out under the pump motor pressure .

Hello TJ,
What John F said, ask a "friend" to do you a favor and grab this when it pops out.
Then buy them a drink after...

Thanks for the replies. It’s actually part of my bumper replacement job so the original shop is doing it. I was going to take my laptop and do it but since there is no such thing they will just have to figure it out.

I tried above method and you'd be surprised at how strong these things pull back in,it slipped straight out of my hand I did however manage to get a strong zip tie and pull it back out to out the cover plate back on.remiving the cap they will almost certainly break it as it's brittle plastic .
