Help please !

I have a 2011 Bentley GTC super sports and seem to have a failed trickle charger which has now left me with flat batteries. The problem worsens.. I cant get the release handle to work for boot and can’t get passenger door open to release the bonnet to try to jump start there.. where do I go from here as it’s frustrating the hell out of me.

Stick a voltmeter across them first to establish if they are live and how goosed the battery probably the LHS ( as the starter just turns the starter motor ) .If it’s a trickle C- Tek needs to be a big one or a few days .
Hence the V check to measure every day the rate of charge .
You could get another charger and pump some bigger amps in to speed up the process but risk frying the cig lighter wires = fire .So be careful going down that route .

Risky
Find the fuse rating of the cig lighter say 30;A ( guess btw ) then monetary connect a lower bat charger in this case 25 A ....turn the key to power up open the door ( get someone ready ) switch off and pull the 25 A connection out of the cig socket .
This way you can open the bonnet and find the proper heavy duty charge points .
Remove the LHS ,as you stand looking back air box .Plenty of U tube vids .

Just to be clear on your statement,, you say "handle", and you have a convertible correct, so don't you have to use a 10 or a 11 mm socket on a bolt head in the pass through area to pop the boot, or are you trying to used the trapped in trunk emergency electric release handle ?

Can you not turn the ignition key anticlockwise to do something? I am sure on our older models it triggers the other battery?

Apologies, wrong terminology used. Yes I have tried using the 11 mm socket but the level moves but the boot still doesn't release

it’s the “ other battery “ the LHS that’s the OP thinks is below charge to do anything.

The RHS starter just literarily turns the starter motor ....high current draw , and because everything else ( and there’s shed loads of sensitive V stuff ) is potentially sensitive to voltage drops that’s why there’s two batts .
eg ALL the engine ECU,s the fuelling etc are all powered by the now voltage drop free big LHS batt ., doors, catches , seats , entertainment, lights .KESSY + much more ++++ = everything else .

What the cross over function does ( flicking the key to the left ) is the other way ....it feeds charge from the hopefully trickled LHS into the tiny starter flat battery on the RHS in such a way to feed it enough power to turn the starter motor and simultaneously prevent any blow back by a voltage drop .

Motor boats with huge Diesel engines ( as modern electrotwackery wise as the B W12 btw ) have cross over switches .Identical battery installations ...a starter bank ( 24 V huge 24 L engines ) and a domestic bank to power everything else .

The Alternators have a split diode , I guess the Bentley too ?
This means what little 2-5 sec of juice used to spin the engines ( boat or Bentley ) with the starter bank is put back first, then the house / domestic is re- charged .
All the electrotwackery is powered by the house / domestic and alternator when running .

like a boat with the car if the house / domestic is low the ancillaries auto switch off until the House / domestic recover .
eg with the BGT , seats infotainment etc and boat the fridges / chiller shut down if the V drops below a certain amount .
This is to preserve volts / power for the engine ECU ,s i call electrotwackery.

The days of ...think your garden tools .....fuel / carb / spark = pull the cord = start are Loooooooong gone .

Hello @Bodie ,
Are you having a second person pushing down on the boot lid to ease in the release of the latch as per the instructions while you are turning the bolt head clockwise?
