Help please !
Hi Bodie - possibly a long shot but in my first few months of ownership last year I used a solar charger plugged in to the OBD2 port to keep my GT on charge. This worked well with the M3 I had previously. I only drive at weekends. After reading the views of the learned members of this forum - far more knowledgeable than I - a trickle charge was the best way forward long term and I have had a number of error codes/lights disappear after putting on trickle charge. However I would say the solar charger ( £20 on various internet sites ) did get enough charge into the GT to start no problem over an extended Xmas break - this last Xmas- of 4 weeks. Maybe enough in your case if not already solved?

Hello @Bodie ,
As @John Fiammetta stated, did you try to feed power right at the drivers side fuse box, the info I have is not for the 2011, but the 2010, the cig fuses are only 15 amp, so, tell us if you have the NAIM sound system, or the standard system, if you have the standard system then go into the drivers fuse box at the dash and send positive power to the 40amp "F1" fuse, while having the negative grounded to the body of the vehicle, if you have the NAIM sound system we need to go a different route, or this route to start with, you will need to drop the front right corner of the engine belly pan to gain access to the alternator, I did this the first time my A8L W12 had a failed battery and I did not think of the fuse box, and as the A8L W12 has no jump/power points at all under the hood/bonnet, having access to the top of the engine bay was no help, so I hooked a set of jumper cables up to the A8, positive to the positive battery post on the alternator and the negative to the body, I then popped the trunk/boot to get to the battery.
If you have the NAIM and do not want to go under the vehicle, I suggest tapping into a large 20-30 amp fuse at the drivers fuse box to send power to the circuit that feeds said fuse box, meaning that at the battery itself are different fused circuits, so by feeding power into the drivers fuse box, you are back feeding into the battery and all circuits, the drivers fuse box feed is a 100 amp circuit/fuse, others are 150 amp, and 300 amp, so. do NOT do anything but to pop the boot, or unlock the passengers door to gain access to the power point under the bonnet.
Good luck and take your time .

Johnny, many thanks and I have eventually sorted it. I hadn’t seen your post but came to the same conclusion from someone else off line. Flashed power to the 30 amp fuse on drivers aide for enough time to quickly fire electrical system and release doors and boot. 2 secs max .
thanks for all you advice and help everyone. Appreciated.

Paul
