Gt v8s wobbling noise

I’ve got a wobbling noise coming from my car, think it’s under me in the bonnet area. Bentley dealer said new front struts which seemed extreme. Independent specialist change rol bar bushes etc but no different.

now being told it’s a characteristic of the v8’s, anyone else had this??

Unfortunately I don't believe I've seen that listed here before. Who's the dealer and the independent mechanic? Does the independent have a VAG scan tool that works for Bentley?

This certainly is not a "characteristic" of my V8S.

When you say a wobbling noise, can you be a little more precise ie. what is a wobbling noise ?

Yes please be more specific. Does it gets more profound the faster you go? Did the shops check for a bent rim, hub barring or a broken belt in the tires?

If it’s got split rims , the bolts work loose .Ideally replace as they are single use stretch , but you can nip them up .
Buckled wheels are common too .= replace .

Update

Sorry didn’t get my notifications to tell me I had responses.

ive had new front suspension bushes fitted by independent dealer, they tried a rear air shock. Looked everywhere for anything loose etc

no error codes anywhere

more description, I here while rolling over bumpy ground at upto 10mph. It’s still there at higher speeds but road noise takes over

suspension setting makes no difference

No split rims and all running clear and balanced

the noise is a gentle continue knock but not metallic. That’s why I’m describing it as a wobble rather than a knock

I’m not near the car now but running at the recommended pressures for the mid setting which I thinks for “high speed”

maybe upper 30’s

Front should be mid 40's, however your upper 30's wouldnt be a problem. I thought perhaps you had way too much in there.

I dont understand quote "they tried a rear air shock" - given that you described the problem noise coming from the front.

Yes one of their techs was convinced it was a transferred noise from the rear, I wasn’t.

they tried changing the air shock and it made no difference

If the suspension is tight start looking for loose body panels, bumpers or fastener issues.
