im wondering if some one can tell me
A: what this is
B: Am I in trouble
so for awhile now my central brake light has not been working no biggie as it’s not an MOT fail but I decided in my infinite wisdom to go digging around to see if I might have a loose connector, following the fantastic guide on this forum on how to replace the central real light I’ve got as far as actually finding the wires through the back of the car, as I pulled out part of the roof shelf this magnificent part rolled out - ripped!!!
now I have googled and also been onto a parts site to try and identify what this is
there are two identification numbers on this part that I can see

Id say that's the light wiring looks like it tucks under the window seal.never having the issue I've not yet looked into it but would put money on that being the light wire connection
