Tpms

Happy New Year All, hope everybody is keeping safe and well.
Sorry if this has been already discussed but I could not find the answer I was looking for. I have the TPMS come up some time ago, tried resetting it after checking tyre pressure but still No Go! I have read that on a 2005 GT the TPMS need changing every 5 years or so? Now I have not had the chance to plug it in to VCDS yet but just Incase I need new TPMS. I have seen ****e load on Fleabay but worried they are copies. Any recommendations please chaps and chappettes.

kind regards

I'm curious too. My car came with the system deactivated, I shrugged my shoulders but with new tires and refinished rims, I am curious if the tires are holding air. I guess I could manually check it
