Anybody know what's involved in machining non tpms rims to accept tpms sensors?

 

If it involved much machining I'd be reluctant to do it. Might just be better off to disable TPMS.

 

Turns our it's relatively simple, being machined next week.

I picked up a set of mint champion rg5 wheels, barely used but not setup for sensors.

 

Great find! If machining the wheels is a problem, TPMS can be deactivated with a few tricks.

 

Can you do it with a Durametric Pro Cable?

So, the shop is afraid to drill them out, does anybody have a ny shop/source or know of an adaptor that might work?
I listed the rims in the fs but would rather keep them....

you might ask the guys at Wheel Enhancement or Champion what they'd suggest.

 

I tried that, less than satisfactory answer, hence the post.

 

You should not have to do any machining on the wheel. Most TPMS valves should be the same size as regular vales. Our TPMS have adjustable valves to give you the clearance you need. Give me a call and i'll get you taken care of.
