im currently looking after a Bentley which has sank on its front wheels and isn’t lifting.
ive repaired tons and tons of these but this one has me slightly stumped.
VCDS shows front right is -88mm. It is visibly lower than the front left. But that’s around -75mm
ive inspected the cables to the ride height on that side and the arm is ok.
replaced the front shock
replaced the valve block
Pressure in tank 5bar.
compressor kicks in.
When I crack the line off on the front left strut I have air going to it when the compressors kicking in. When I crack the front right I have 0 pressure. Not even a single hiss of air.
nothing coming out of the valve block for that specific line. (Green) all the others have pressure.
I’ve smoke tested the line from the strut to the valve block and no visible leaks and seems to hold pressure fairly well. I’ve got a leak detected fault code.
when I try to actuate the system via diagnostics it shifts the back up slightly but the front is dead.
just dropping a message on here incase someone’s came across a chafed line or a faulty module
hi Johnny.
yes popped the rod off and checked live data whilst moving it. Was reading ok.
I’ve rebuilt the piston on the compressor and drier unit too. Compressor sounds brilliant but still not airing up.

Well,
Then I would think the issue is at the valve block, being that you say there is air pressure at the accumulator and other lines, that means that the short black line from the compressor to the block is working, the purple line from the block to the accumulator tank is good, and the left front red line has air, I take it that the rear black and blue lines also have air, so that leaves as you say, no air to the green line, I would remove the green line at the block to be sure of no blockage at the block itself, like extra o-rings, and leave it off, then activate the front right level sensor to call for air, if no air at block, I would put the old valve block back on and test again, as it's either the block, the suspension control module, or possibly some wiring from suspension control module to block, as the level sensor reading changes, the wiring from sensor to control module is good.

Reason: Spelling
I will check all of this out. The cars had a respray at some point but owner says interior was never removed apart from a few boot trims which I’ve removed and inspected.
I smoke tested the purple line to tank and vac tested and that’s got 0 leaks whatsoever.
on live data, when the compressors kicking in I’m getting around 2.5bar consistent pressure, it also sounds a lot quieter since I’ve done the piston ring so all good there.. When the compressor turns off it dramatically drops to 0. This did it before and after piston ring replacement. However the in tank pressure remains firm at 4.99bar.
I don’t mind a challenge but I’m close to setting it on fire 😂
when I run through basic setting and it actuates the suspension together and then each bag individually, nothing happens at all.
the auxiliary battery seems a bit weak too, every now and then I get a start car battery low warning.. even though both batteries are being charged...?
@PrestigeLdn ,
So as to not have any confusion, as when some say "auxiliary", they me a secondary battery, the main battery aka the house battery is on the drivers side, the starter battery is ofcourse on the passenger side, if you are saying that the house battery is weak, I would 100 % change it out before going any further in diagnosis of the suspension, as a weak house battery will cause all kinds of electronic issues.

Undo the line at the strutt and get an airline with small nozzle and fire it into the strutt to get it to raise to a relatively normal lever then reconnect the line. I did this on mine when I changed suspension it wouldn't lift off floor. All of a sudden things stared moving it was almost like I had an airlock or something. Make sure batteries are fully charged also as those things throw up loads of red herrings.
ive changed the left battery
fault code for leak gone.
The suspension started doing a few movements then I heard it dumping pressure out of the waste tube.
then I have a basic setting not carried out code.
19.99 bar in the tank now, however it’s just staying there for obvious reasons that the car needs to be ran through the basic setting.
when I try to actuate anything via basic settings on vcds I get group not available (fill struts with air etc). I type in the codes into security which it accepts, yet when I go back into it it still says the same and will not let me carry out any basic settings whatsoever.
ive tried both codes 31564 and 08367
if you see in the below pic, I have 0.00 ‘tank pressure’ within the compressor assembly when it’s running.
however 19.53 bar I’m guessing in the reservoir. When I manage to get the compressor on, I crack the lines off at the valve block and nothing comes out.
thanks
.

Hello @PrestigeLdn ,
Is the vehicle sitting on the ground, or on a four post lift, if on the lift, raise the vehicle in small increments to get the suspension to kick in, if the vehicle is bottomed out the suspension will not engage.
Did you try putting the old valve block back on ?
old valve block on and the suspension is jacked up ever so slightly to a bit lower than original suspension height. Wheels touching floor
Try raising it up until wheels off the ground then back to an inch or so below normal level a few times with the engine running to see if you get anywhere .
What are the settings in the Infotainment screen displaying, sport, height, do they respond to the turn of the ****, any message in the DIS ?
suspension compressors doesn’t kick in, even when going from jack mode to normal. Suspension warning light on with only a no basic setting fault.
the dial doesn’t respond at all. Car is sat at level or normal in display.
Ok the car has finally let me into the basic settings.
whenever I do the basic setting. All pressures in the 4th field are at 0 bar.
If I go to fill the bags or the pressure reservoir. It does not move off of the 0.0 bar.
