I purchased a 2008 bentley with arnott "new" air suspension. It has clear knock when hitting bump but the air bags are good. has anyone had the arnott units installed on their car and experince a similar knock or clunk? I have checked out entire suspension and replaced all bushing but clunk still there. Mechanic tells me that problem is internal to the Arnott unit damper failing... Arnott will not cover issue and appears to have new designed "new unit " replacing the as-2392..
I am hands on guys so will be looking for anything that my help find noise! and report problem once it is fixed. Best news it does not prevent me from driving my car..

I will try to find it later, but it was either here on 6Speed or on Audiworld where others had the same issues of clunking after installing the Arenott struts, seam that arenott tech left the old bushing inside the assembly while adding a new one also, which inturn shortened the distance of travel for the struts causing a bottoming out clunking thumping sound/feeling.

That make lot of sense.... and the sound is kind of dull...not a real meteal to metal... I plan to pull this strut off the car in next two weeks and will examine if I can open it up and see if I can see anything that looks wrong...or is there ia a way to identfy who made the actaul damper.... if not will probably need to replace the entire unit.. I did find two other problems.. the valve unit on right leaked and they used no sealer fixed with loctite also band on left unit was never tighten and fell off. "quailty work" !!
