Hi,
Shame on me
After restoring the former dump
Here is what I have now
and the ecu is blocked for 255 minutes 4hours and 15mn
Now I see what it costs to try several solutions at the same time rather than to concentrate on only one until the end ... My apologies ... Sincerely
Please tell me is the VIN and part number going to be back after the given time

@kilog ,
I certainly hope so... 😉
I believe that because it is on lockout for the allotted time frame, it's blocking the VIN and part number, if your location is where I think you are, it is going on 11PM for you soon, I see that now it shows 239 minutes as of the time you took the screenshot, just verify that the clock is still running as to show less than 239 at the moment, and call it a night for yourself as to not frustrate yourself further, come back to it in the morning, I believe that you will be all ok.

I 100% can not comment on the VIN and part number, as I have never put any KESSY into timeout/lockout mode.. sorry, but I think you will be ok after countdown.

I sincerely understand your frustration and I in no way meant to be short with you, I feel I was though, and I apologize for my shortness, we were both frustrated, and that I fully understand !

Just see my rebuild thread for any frustration needed 🙃..

It's alright Johnny.
Finally, let's start this car. I have no doubts that we will get there.
And this discussion, for the other members of the forum, will summarize, can be awkwardly what to do and what not especially to do to arrive at the good result.
And in this we will have enriched the forum.

Hello bro,
I am gone for another 4 hours waiting...
The first round (this night) ended with a battery disconnected. (the driver's door was also closed, may be I shoudnt have close it?)
I dont know how and why.
Any case the 06 controller was not accessible so I stopped everything disconnected the battery, waited for 5mn and relunched,
It asked for 255mn on the last item (the set is 0, 6, 255)
At the end the 06 controller was one more time no more accessible.
The picture you have here is the 3rd round still with the set 0, 6, 255mn.
I have scanned 06 controller for faults and the resualt is scarezy
I hope I have not brick the KESSY module.
I am gone for another 4 hours waiting...
I am going to monitor any 15mn to be sure everything is doing well.

the charger was disconnected so I dont know exactly what happened before the charger was disconnected.
and at the end it showd the same result

Hello @kilog ,
Let's clear some things up for clarity for both of us, you repeated 3 times "06 controller", I just want to be sure that you meant the 05 controller.

Next, the battery charger should be on at all times during programming, and not to high of power, say 7amps, 10amps max.

The BIGGEST issue that comes to mind is, when you rewrote the original dump file back to the 93C86 eeprom, did you read it again to verify that it indeed wrote the original dump file, or that it even wrote correctly, as in eeprom not in the clip or socket programming piece 180° out, meaning did you verify to see code and not all 00 or FF ?

Sure I do read after rewritting
and I do test both files as well
As for the 180o orientation I dont thing I made the mistake but I will check one more time.
For the controller, Yes its is 05 Controller
I made the mistake because of the label of the incon "Close Controller Go Back - 06" in the Open Controller Menu (where we select meas. Blocks -08)

Are you de-soldering the eeprom from the board, just check the DOT ● for number 1 pin in proper placement when it was put back on the board.

So when you read after rewrite, you saw code, not just 00 FF ?

If you have or download free trial of Beyond Compare, you should compare the original dump file to the dump file your friend made, to be sure that he did not alter the original dump file...
Or if you have any other copy of the original BIN file to double check.

These pictures are just for reference of Beyond Compare, and Carprog as I was reprogramming my 95160's eeproms as 25160's and compared code after.
So when you say that you read again after writing, you are reading the eeprom with carprog for the code, and not just the pin code page, right ?

Johnny
EDIT:
.
Removed pictures by request, VIN security

I always save what I read.
When I say compare its the comparaison to be sure that what I write is what read and what was there before my colleague did his stuff.
I also use to power off Carprog and computer and power on, and read again and save the dump and then use microsoft FC program to compare... its only when everythin matches then I unsolder the eeprom from Carprog support and solder it back on Kessy board...
Please find here attached the result I have after the countdown has elapes.
I have not yet put ignition off.
You may also have a look on the fault code list. After clearing the list becomes empty.

Ok, open controller #25 and scan, and also check adaptation and coding of both # 05 and #25.

Johnny
#25 and #05 are the same
fault codes list is empty
adaptation need security
after putting security Meas. Block 024 gives 255,0,0
so its gone for 4h15mn countdown again

I think that what is happening is that after putting wrong pin/skc two times, during Odis session, the Kessy put itself into a protected mode with a countdown.
I did not consider that delay, nor I verified it, and I just unsoldered 93c56 to restore the original eeprom.
Normally, I thing, the best way would have been to firsly be sure that theres was No countdown before restoring the Original dump.
What do you thing about this analysis.
If you share it then I think the correct to do is
- leave the current count down continue up to 0,0,0
- then restore the previous dump, the one after Odis session I have it,
- check on the car that there is no more countdown and that my 081 Meas. block is correct etc...
- then replace piut back the Original eeprom.
This is what happens when someone is confused and in a hurry. things become difficult and longer to solve...

Hello @kilog ,
Is it 1:00 in the morning for you ?
I certainly hope that you are well rested before taking on this job, and not dead tired after a long days work...
I ask about your time zone also as I was trying to call you, but got no answer.

As to my thoughts, I myself am confused at the moment as to when did the ODIS sessions take place, and how many dump BIN files you have,
I need a clear answer as to which file had all 3 keys working until you pulled the last key out,, as somehow someway, you lost the information shown in all fields as far as VIN and part number along with coding of the module itself.

So, when I asked for you to scan 05 and 25 and to check the coding of each, eventhough 05 and 25 reside in the same box (KESSY) they each can be scanned and coded, and by checking the coding I meant "[CODING-07]" or "[CODING II -11]" in the menu, let us know what the coding show with picture please. 📷

Johnny

I am trying my best to help and be clear with procedures, but we all know it's so much easier with hands on, compared to explaining...

Hi Johnny,

Coding II-11 and Coding 07 for #05 and #25 are just the same
The both fault codes list are empty

Can I move on and execute the plan I suggested in my previous post?
