I am back with a new kessy.
I have decoded the its pincode
it is installed on the car and now I am about to adapt it to the car
Can you confirm the codes that I have to use in order to run these steps smoothly and safely.
for example based on the video am I going to use the same codes to login
like here



What do I type here. On the video at 1'43'' the code typed is 00794.
Do i type the same
Same question at 3'05'' will I type the code 02103 to login
This is important as any error while trying to login may be equivalent of being obliged to wait for some type before trying again

May I ask if you speak English, as can you understand the instructions in the video as spoken, as it clearly states that you would use the pin numbers that YOU have for the original and replacement KESSY units, NOT the pin numbers used in the video as examples, the pin numbers in the video are for the vehicle modules that Ross-Tech VCDS is using to show you how to do the job, and the pin numbers he is entering are for the vehicle Ross-Tech is working on in the video, NOT the vehicle you are working on....

Don't ruin another good unit..

Be sure to use "Security Access-16" not "Login-11" as shown in the RT videos for engine ECU'S and instrument cluster replacement.

Please go back yourself and read what you wrote, YOU said "at 1 minute 43 seconds the code typed is 00794, do I type the same", NO you do NOT, as 00794 shown and spoken about in the video at 1:43 is the pin number used in the video for example.

Then you did the same again as to 3 minutes 5 seconds, you asked "same question at 3:05, will I type the code 02103 to login" , again NO, 02103 is the pin code used in the video for example, you use YOUR own pins codes...

If you go back to the exact time frames you referred to in the video, you will hear him say, enter the "PIN"...

Hello friend,

I was ill for several weeks, not the Covid.
Now I am back, in better health and at the same level: with an unmatched pin code.
To try to solve the issue I unsoldered the eeprom and installed it on a 150m sop8 socket eeprom holder, and read it with Carprog:
1- As Touareg Kessy 93C86 -> 2007 v.02, the pincode found is 3263.
2- As Touareg Kessy 93C86 2007 -> v.02, the pincode found is 2490.
3- As Phaeton Kessy 93C86 v.02, the pincode found is 3263.
I save the equivalent eeprom read, as the screen snap of each operation.
I also read the eeprom using the eeprom menu, as eeprom 93c86 8bits.
All the 4 dump files was compared and are the same a sample can be found here attached.
Unfortunately when installed back on the car either 03263 nor 02490 pin code cant satisfy the #11 login menu, to log itself inside the donor kessy (as stated at 1:43 of the video).

What I need please is to help me found out whwre is the mistake I am doing to be unable to decode this pincode and move forward.

I am hoping that the mistake is Login-11 versus Security Access-16, as the videos were for guidance of procedure and not exact, as the videos were for Instrument cluster and engine ECU'S swapping...

Sorry, I just realized that you are using 11 versus 16 today...

Yes That was the good solution!

I used the correction and everything worked like a charm.
I was then able to adapt the new Kessy and to program one key for this time.
Later one when the car will be ok I will program other 2 keys.

The status of the car today is that when you connect the batteries it cranks normally 2 times (crank no start).
The testlight connected at relay 433 to starter solenoid shines continiously while cranking.
Then if I try to crank again I just hear a heavy sound kock, and the test light just shine 1 sec (the time of the kock noise)

The fuel pumps
The fuels pumps are working very well, even if they are not yet driven by the starting key (I have jumped the 2 fuel relay pumps relays for now)

Crank no start DTC
The DTC that is critical and may be tthe reason of the crank no start issue is this one on address 01: Engine

Hi,I have a 2008 continental GT Speed,had a problem with a flat battery and put it on charge overnight not realising the ignition lights had stayed on during this time.The car started okay next day and a few times after.Now everything works except no ignition lights or cranking via key or button.Steering lock realeses.

As to your issue, have you checked all of the fuses at the dash fuse panel, see attached fuse layout, be aware that there is more then one fuse to do with the ignition, dash instrument cluster, and the KESSY.

Just out of curiosity, which amperage battery charger did you use ?

Hi Johny,Tried all the fuse in the fascia and all are good.Fuse number 23 and 27 have a live feed but still no dash lights ignition etc and no crancking.Steering lock is releasing when key is turned.The what I assume are voltage sensors on each battery are showing the same voltage as the battery.
Diagnostic showing 00956 key 2 and 00955 key 1 lower limit exceeded
00087,terminal 30 for starting open or short to ground
0066830 vehicle voltage terminal
01314 engine control module no signal
01315 transmission control module no signal
01321airbag control module no signal
01330 comfort system central control module no signal
Car was perfect before battery went flat
any ideas please
