Can anyone advise where this on board diagnostic connector is located on the Bentley GTC?
My Maryland State vehicle emissions inspection is due.

 

On the RHD it's above the left hand foot rest in the driver's foot well.

Is the purple female computer cable piece (which is exposed to the left of my left hand drive brake pedal) the receptacle for vehicle emissions checks as well as all the other electronic diagnostics (so frequently referred to in this blog)?
I don't see a handle to pull on my 2013 GTC near this.

What I thought was a handle was actually a vent for the heat/air!

 

At a *guess* the handle (I assume for the bonnet release?) will be on the passenger side in your locale. Could be totally wrong, though. It appears to be a solid aluminium part. Happy to take a photo it you wish.

As far as I am aware there is only the one socket, so yes. That's the receptacle for all things data driven.

I viewed half a dozen youtube videos on finding the OBD, most were right hand drive.
A company that makes the hardware scanner actually showed a Bentley Continental interior in their video.

I think I understand it now, the purple female cable receptacle is already exposed to the left of my brake pedal.
Hopefully my V12 will pass the emissions test this week.

There is a learning curve with this automobile. The hood release I understand.
