I'm looking for a wiring diagram of the trunk spoiler on a 2005 continental Gt.
Can anyone help me please?
My trunk spoiler works sporadically when I drive. I think a electric wire (cable) is broken. Therefore I have to test the electric wire (cable). When I used the manuel trunk spoiler tast the trunk spoiler move normally.
Is it possible that the engine/motor power is less when the trunk spoiler is not running fawless?
When the trunk spoiler is up the VCDS shows OFF (closed). Maybe the calibration of the trubk spoiler is not correct? My mechanic made the calibration of the trunk spoiler the last time, Maybe he do it wrong.....
Or the trunk spoiler control unit is defect?
I don't know where is the problem....
Sorry for my bad english. I hope you unterstand my problem ;-)
Thanks a lot for your helps
Wish you a nice day ;-)
The 'Active Rear Aerofoil Control Module' (ARACM) transmits/receives the following signals:
Pin 7 White/Purple a speed signal from the Instrument Pack
Pin 10 Transmits (usually by grounding) on Slate/Brown a warning lamp signal to the Instrument Pack
Pin 12 is a Purple K-Line (single ended bus) going to OBD socket and Instrument Pack (amongst others)
Pin 2 Red/Slate receives power via 25A fuse F9 in Luggage Compartment Fusebox
Pin 8 Slate/White Ignition status input via F71 in Driver's Fascia Fusebox
Pin 9 Black/White Wheel speed from ABS control module
Pin 3 is grounded by the centre console switch to demand aerofoil up
Pin 5 is grounded by the centre console switch to demand aerofoil down
Pins 1 and 11 are connected together, but nowhere else, by a Slate/Black wire (function unknown)
Pin 9 is ground
Hope that helps.
Unfortunately the scan of the VCDS print out is too unclear for me to make out the words associated with the fault code in order to put them into google translate.
Don't worry about your English: it's no worse than some of the colonials on here who claim to speak it as their first language.
Hello @Bentley_Germany ,
VAG fault code "01509" has to do with the set speed of your speed warning-alert in the Instrument cluster, what speed do you have the warning set for ?
Der VAG-Fehlercode "01509" hat mit der eingestellten Geschwindigkeit Ihres Geschwindigkeitswarnalarms im Kombiinstrument zu tun. Für welche Geschwindigkeit haben Sie die Warnung eingestellt?
"The spoiler does not extend at a speed greater than the speed of the warning threshold"
"Der Spoiler fährt nicht mit einer Geschwindigkeit aus, die größer als die Geschwindigkeit der Warnschwelle ist"

Reason: Spacing
Thank you for your information. I have to talk with my mechnic about the speed warning-alert. Maybe my mechanic made a wrong calibration of the trunk spoiler
I will test in the next days by which speed limite the trunk spoiler go up. But when the trunk spoiler is up why shows the VCDS off?
I have a wide body kit. I like it more when the trunk spoiler is evertime up.
Is it possible to program the trunk spoiler position evertime up without any error message?

Sorry @Bentley_Germany ,
I do not follow quite your meaning, you need to check the speed alert setting with your steering wheel controls and as displayed in the center driver information screen, not your mechanic, and by "error message", do you mean the spoiler symbol being displayed in the Instrument cluster/speedometer, or by scan ?
