I have just taken delivery of a 2016my V8S and the inside tailpipes are very black, exterior ones are still chrome.
is this normal? Could any owners please have a look at theirs and let me know please. Thank you

 

I suggest that this is because of the car's previous usage and the consequent effect of the 'noise flaps' and how often they were open.

 

Lack of serious usage .Go out and cane it ( within speed camera littered Lincs )

I doubt ragging it will clear the soot from the tail pipes. Clean it off and ragging it might prevent it from re-appearing

Or you might end up with all four pipes black inside, which is what I'd expect

I made Bentley Leicester clean them on collection, as wasn’t totally happy, but over the 500 miles I have driven it, the pipes are black again.
I will admit that I have driven it very gently, as having come out of an Aston Martin Rapide, I am enjoying the peacefulness 😂
enjoying the car immensely as at 58, no longer a boy racer!

 

I expect they will keep getting black. I think your only option is to get them equally black, but I stand to be corrected

crazy thing is my wife has a Cayenne S with optional extra black tailpipes 😂😂😂

 

Perhaps upload a photo of how black they are, then I will compare to my own

 

I will do in a couple of weeks, hated them so much I cleaned them yesterday morning before I went out in it.
