Boot Bumpers Adjustable?

A question about the two rubber boot bumper stops. Are these adjustable for height? Under the rubber cover is a plastic disc that the bumper pushes on to. Within the center of the disc is a threaded hex head shaft that can be turned in or out. When it is completely removed it does not release the disc.

Wondering if the height of the disc/rubber can be adjusted to change the closing point for the boot lid.

Thanks.

Just to follow up on this, yes the bumpers are adjustable.

First step is to remove the plastic trim strip that runs the length of the boot edge. It just pulls off being careful not to crack the plastic trim. It is held in place by V clips that push into slots in the boot edge.

Next, use an allen wrench to unscrew the center threaded rod enough to loosen the black plastic disc that the rubber boot slips over. Pull off the rubber boots.

Then, gently pry the center disc out. It has a ratcheted extension that extends into the boot edge. When you extend or retract to the desired height, retighten the threaded rod, press the rubber boots back on and push the trim piece back on.

The bumpers should extend enough that when the boot closes the bumbers contact the corresponding spots on the body, preventing the boot from slamming against the body.
