Hello Johnny,
There is an oil leak ...
You know previously the engine had been dismantled to plug a water leak somewhere under the windshield in the engine compartment.
This was predictable since this is the first time the engine has started.
Tomorrow I will see this quietly before dealing with the problem of the relays of the 2 fuel pumps.
It is then that I will make a recording of the beautiful music of his snoring for you.

The fuel pump relays are back in its housing.
And they are now driven by the key without any intervention.
I'm afraid we don't have the snoring of miss Bentley as i'm still struggling to seal the leakage.
The problem which remains to be solved is that of the solenoid cable which goes from the starter relay 433. presently we use a jump as the original cable is corrupted.
The last time you asked me to open the front right wing of the vehicle.
do we still go by that way? the option of starting from the rear trunk is not better?
@kilog ,
Being that the engine was out previously, be sure to check the two transmission cooler lines on the passenger side by the axle output shaft for proper tightness.
It’s transmission oil. And it leaks underneath this black plate and from the shown pipes connected to the gearbox.
Kilog
That black plate is supposed to have two seals (one for each pipe) which fit into recesses in the transmission casing.
The VW part number is 4E0 317 029 or ZF refer to it as 0501 319 430.
In your photograph it looks as though the pipes are not properly inserted into the thermostat housing.
The pipes are retained by the mounting screw pulling the thermostat housing, so that the o-ring is trapped by the pipe flange.
For this to happen the flange on the pipe must be inside the thermostat housing recess.
Unfortunately neither VW nor ZF list the o-ring part number.

Currently the flanges are no longer visible as before, but there is still a residual leak which causes drip. I think the oil seals are damaged, as this is a one-time fitment item. I'm not sure it was changed when the engine was put back in place. I will order it with the battery cable and the camshaft sensor.
